Long Distance and Way Marked Paths

Cheshire has some very interesting long distance trails, such as the South Cheshire Way, the Crewe and Nantwich Circular walk, the Gritstone trail, Bishop Bennet Way, Dane Valley Way, to name a few.  These can provide links to other longer routes such as the Staffordshire Way and Shropshire Way.  Why take up the challenge to walk the Sandstone trail from end to end.   Some troops have done this over 1 or 2 days.  Such waymarked paths provide a great introduction to long distance walking perhaps for Coast to Coast, Pennine Way, South West coastal path or even the biggie Lands End to John O’Groats.  These of course could be part of Cheshire Hike Training.
